I really like that. Don't know if I want to try it as you said it was hard to follow. Am thinking that would be a great gift for my16 year old daughter for Christmas this year. I may not try that particular pattern but have made one in the past and think may try that. Thanks for the inspiration.

Very pretty bag and you did a fantastic job on it. Those zippers just make me stay away. Your DIL will love her new gift.

I'm surprised at how many ZipperPhobes there are! Zippers are super easy, you just have to put them in first, while the pieces can be laid flat.

I'm sort of a "zipperphobe" but I will say I made a couple of those bags with the clear vinyl window and the zippers weren't hard. One was from a tute by Erica Arndt and the other was from Sherri McConnell- same basic bag- square with a vinyl window.
I really like them for projects.

Yes challenging and worth it. I have made 3 backpacks and 2 backpack 2.0 (the smaller one) by Annie. I use it as a purse. On the 2nd small one I Modified the backpack handles to a shoulder strap. Works great, looks great. I’m planning to make a new one for this year with brighter colors.....this is my goal......to make with brighter colors.

Don’t know what to do to be able to post photos. They won’t attach.

Ellen, have you made your pictures very small? It seems pics will only upload if they are small. I hope you can post... would love to see your backpacks.
