I really like that. Don't know if I want to try it as you said it was hard to follow. Am thinking that would be a great gift for my16 year old daughter for Christmas this year. I may not try that particular pattern but have made one in the past and think may try that. Thanks for the inspiration.

I'm sort of a "zipperphobe" 
but I will say I made a couple of those bags with the clear vinyl window and the zippers weren't hard. One was from a tute by Erica Arndt and the other was from Sherri McConnell- same basic bag- square with a vinyl window.
I really like them for projects.

Yes challenging and worth it. I have made 3 backpacks and 2 backpack 2.0 (the smaller one) by Annie. I use it as a purse. On the 2nd small one I Modified the backpack handles to a shoulder strap. Works great, looks great. I’m planning to make a new one for this year with brighter colors.....this is my goal......to make with brighter colors.
