Went to my "fabric store" in my sewing room to look for a specific fabric. Didn't find it, but while I was rooting around, found 4 yards of Daisy Kingdom fabric with the ticket still pinned to the edge, marked $2.00! Don't know how old this is, but for 2 bucks, I'll find a use for it.

I used to buy that stuff to make fancy dresses for my little girl. She loved them, with their built in petticoats and frilly details. She is 35 now with a little girl of her own, LOL.

I was recently going through my fabric and I found a bin of great fabric that I had forgotten I had. It's a great feeling.

Brings back memories of pinafores and frills. I made a number of things for my daughter. I even have a pattern for a matching mom apron and sun suit for my daughters. I still use that apron a lot! It is hanging in my kitchen with all its frills surrounding it. It is unlikely that I have any of those fabrics still around. Great memories though.

I had a big "bin" of scrapes just kept adding to it , finally decided its was over flowing , (My husband suggestion" its all had it throw it out......) with a look of horror I said don't be silly I will makes something from that , so the following week a started to cut, and cut and cut , strips coming out of my ears... then I stared to piece it finished up a table cloth for a our out door table 3 yards long 1 1/2 yards wide , done with things I had made for the kids years before ,next time they were over for BBQ I put it on the table .....Well stories that came forth from those kids about what they had done in this dress or that pair of shorts was mind boggling.
Was a family day lots of laughter , of course Mom had to say if " I had known that you would have been in serious trouble" ,Morale of the story is you can never hang on to fabric for to long...
