I have a hole in my twin dize quilt, in the middle of course, How do I fix it without taking it apart?

Is the hole thru the top only or the whole quilt? If it's only thru the top, I would just applique a motif over it.

Just thru the top but the quilt is made up of bandanas. What kind of motif?

If it is a small hole, you could add a matching yo-yo and scatter a few other places .

I bought an otherwise fantastic feedsack quilt, with clean mouse holes eaten right through all 3 layers wherever they appeared. I fixed it by using some genuine feedsacks I had. I made a patch for the top, a batting piece to fit the hole, and a backing patch. Once all 3 were sewn in place, you couldn't even find where they were.

Fabric Galore

How big is the hole? If it is tiny I would use a tapestry needle and work a small piece of matching fabric into the hole so that it laid flat and then I would use Fray Check under the edges of the hole to seal it in place. I have done this before and it holds up in the laundry.

Being no stranger to holes in quilts I will frequently make an embroidery patch and sew it on. That is if it is only one one side. If the hole is through all layers I will make a patch of similar fabric as the back and a piece of batting a bit larger than the hole. I then sew the back and middle together into the back of the quilt and then put the embroidery patch on the front..

You can probably buy a bandana to match or be close enough. Fussy cut a piece to match the pattern as close and possible and sew it over the hole.
