    It's on the tip of my tongue, but my brain wants to know, lol.

    I could only find it as a kaleidoscope pattern, no other name.

    Try Summer Breeze, a tutorial from Donna Jordan. I've made several of those and love each one.

    It is loved but looks like a challenging pattern. Definitely going to check out Donna’s tutorial.

    I agree it is Kaleidoscope. There are two basic ways to do it, the easier way is to make the central hex shape into a square by putting on corners to make it a square. Is just alternating blocks at the basic level!

    From my first book of quilting and the first way I did it was the Ruby McKim version -- this one I've also seen with "rocket" names.
