I am looking to purchase dream cotton solid black. Can anyone tell me what you thought of this fabric.

I've never been disappointed in Marshall's fabrics, prices or customer service.

I haven't tried that fabric, but I really like Amish black from Keepsake Quilting.

I live close enough to go to Marshall's whenever I want to. I love the Dream Cotton. i buy basic colors by the bolt. I can't tell any difference from Moda Bella solid. I mentioned that to the rep once and she said it comes from the same manufacturer. I wish MDG would hire a fabric designer. I think the owner does all the fabric designs and seems to be stuck on the same designs and variations of them. You can buy a bolt of any MDG brand without a tax ID but can't the name brand fabric, it's sold by the yard. I can't find name brand fabric cheaper anywhere else.

I have not tired the black but have ordered the dream cotton in red and purple and was very happy with it. It fills like Moda and I love Moda fabrics. You should be very happy with it. I also ordered some backing fabric and it was the best ever.

I've been ordering the dream cottons from Marshall Dry Goods in the 45" and 108". I've used both widths for piecing too and have been very pleased with the fabrics.

I went to Marshall's yesterday. Both five bolts of Dream Cotton. Fabric that is imported (isn't it all) will be scarce in a few weeks. No shipping containers to ship it. Marshall's rep said it was getting scary.
