Well I have finally felt well enough to join you all!!! I have a quilt all loaded and now started on my HQ Avante. It is for my granddaughter Jenna's graduation. I still have 3 weeks left to get it done but will have the quilting done today, if no problems happen. It is a signature quilt not a tee shirt one--that was her choice. Will have it all done this week with the binding being done by hand not machine. Glad you are all so busy.

    Sunday Morning Update:

    My plan is.......
    1. Finish the rainbow quilt just need to add two more rows! Done, well the top is done. Will finish at my group's retreat in a few weeks.
    2. Make at least 2 of the Harriet's Journey quilt blocks. I made 3 and cut the pieces for a fourth!. I sat down with a few old movie musicals on my laptop and went for it!
I will take on numbers 3 and 4 after virtual church this morning and maybe a walk in the rain.
    3. Search out pieces for donation - The organization is asking for 2.5 strips and 2 yard cuts for backing for quilts. Think I can cover some of that request.
    4. While rooting about in my stash, I need to look for backs for at least 4 of my many UFO's . My quilting group will is having a retreat, small group of 12 rather than 35-40. I requested tables or a work station where we can sandwich quilts. The group raised a cheer for that. We all have quilts ready for sandwiching! It is a few weeks out, but I would like to get what is needed ready to go!

Enough for one week-end and more.

Love seeing everyone's projects, thanks! Just pulling the paper off my spool blocks as I read through everything.

    Default Sunday Update

It's about 12:30pm, sitting here with a cup of coffee trying to wake up. Woke up slightly headachey, we've got rain coming in all this week so I'm sure that I'm headed for a migraine. I'm going to have to finish my niece's quilt top today or it'll be another ten days before I can get to it.

Found out there was an error block that made its way into the quilt, thank goodness that it is on the end, it'll be an easy fix. After that, it's onto the border!

Sounds like everyone has been busy this weekend. I got two of the quilts quilted and started a third. Turns out the bindings I made are for the Project Linus quilt tops still hanging over the railing. So I had to make bindings too! All in all, it was a good weekend.

    See everyone next month!

Lot's of good work going on? I haven't been very productive. I did load a twin sized quilt on my Lucey and as it is a scrap quilt for the dog, I am using up an old package poly batting that is for "a comforter or tied quilt" I found the loft was high enough that I need to place some tear away paper on the batting to get it based to the backing so could line up and baste my top to the backing....Haven't started with the quilting yet. Hoping I can manage the higher loft. I wish I had a "scoop foot" for my longarm but I don't. I have been filling my outside pots with dirt as we still may get some frost up here before I start my outside plantings.

I managed to get all 40 half moon shapes cut and the edge ironed under and ready for the next step on Monday from Alex's live on FB ... all 20 spools have the paper removed as well. Thank you for hosting another virtual!

Spent a busy period today making new masks. The old ones are getting worn and with child in school 5 days - we are going through faster than laundry can catch up. And even tho we can unmask more often now...I'm not sure I'm going to trust everyone is honest about their vax status. I'm still wearing mine. And a new pattern is just so refreshing!
