Default Teal Kaleidoscope

Tried to make a quilt that wasn't blue...so I turned to teal! This is the first k-quilt that I stacked and whacked. I used to fussy cut each of the 8 identical pieces-never again.
After I completed the top, I decided to add a dark border, but had no more teal fabrics. The first piece I ordered was too green, so waited for the second selection. Then, the 108" backing piece I had for it was now too small. Ordered bigger piece from Amazon (for same price as fabric.com but free shipping). Quilted STD on my domestic. Neeeext......

Beautiful! I love these OBW quilts, yours is spectacular! I think I may have the same fabric stashed to make another OBW. Another beautiful finish!

Teal is my favorite color, so of course I am in love. I agree with Quiltwoman44, it does look like all the sea anemones clustered on the coral. I really like the combo of circles and squares which help your eye move across the quilt. Just lovely.

It's such a happy, cheerful quilt. I love your combinations of blocks. The pattern is so free spirited and charming.
