Finally finished my summer quilt
I finished my summer quilt on July 11th and did the "Finally Finished the Freaking Quilt!" dance around my bedroom.
It was a long slog. It's not even close to being perfect (I've GOT to work on my quilt backs!!!) but it's it good enough for a first bed quilt. I learned a lot in the process.
I really love how the green borders, with the FMQ turned out. I used a new ruler, from Westalee, to do it. And, because it has so many corners I curved the serpentine stitch that's holding it all together. I thought that gave it a different touch.
After sleeping under it I really wish I would have made one sooner. It's light enough I don't get hot but heavy enough that it 'cuddles' me.
