I really like your variation of the Churn Dash block. The original was always a little bit boring for me. Yours I would make. We've all had interesting corners and sometimes, side borders, after washing and drying. I just don't even worry about it. Finished is better than perfect.

Very pretty quilt and the churn dash pattern is one of my favorite. Don't worry about the corner. I don't think it will matter to your sister as she will be thrilled to receive it.
