Default Remember the Twister tool?

Decided to used the twister tool to make some quilts. Have the books but really don't tell me how many charms I need to make quilts approx 36x42 including boarders. You guys remember these quilts. Can you help?

I would make one block to determine the finished size, then do the calculation from there for how many blocks you need for the size you want

I remember the twister quilts, but I never had the tool. I think I'd do what LAF suggests.

The size does decrease quite a bit using the twister tool. I would plan to do the squares the whole 36 X 42 .You can make the centre and then adjust the size by adding a border.

If you have the small twister tool and use charm packs (5" squares)., The block will be 3.5". I'm working on one know. I'm doing a Queen size. I did 23 squares across and down with a 3.5" border around. I'm adding a second border after cutting and sewing the squares. My finished size will be 86x86.

I made a lot of the twister quilts. I think have about 4-5 different sizes twister tools. I never made the smallest one. I made one queen sized and several smaller table runners. They were fun to make. Enjoy. Just remember that the larger ones take up a HUGE amount of spaces before you cut them into the twister....I would if you could work them in sections somehow?
