Welcome to the QB from SE Michigan. Great to have another Texan here! I cannot help you with the cowboy but I see others have provided some great ideas. I look forward to seeing you in these parts. Ask question all you want and look around you will find a great deal of goodies daily. Again welcome to the QB

What book is that pattern out of dluvs2quilt? It looks familiar to me. I might have this one too.

Since many of these designs are out of print or unavailable to purchase, my suggestion would be, find an image/shape that you like on your computer, enlarge the screen image to the size you want to make, and trace that image onto a piece of wax paper taped to the screen. Normally, I wouldn't suggest this due to copyright issues, but since it isn't available anywhere, I'd say do it as long as you'll only be using the image for a single personal project and not for sale. Hope I haven't stepped into a big can of worms with this idea, I didn't intend to. Sorry if I did.

Thanks so much dluvs2quilt! I will go through my old mags and binders to see if I still have it.
