I love your Bargello quilt. I have been thinking of making another one and this one has inspired me to start buying batiks. Do you remember the name of your pattern? I made one for my granddaughter years ago when she graduated from high school. I have made her and her family other quilts but the Bargello is still her favorite.

Thanks, FG-- The pattern is called Aurora Borealis and is from the book, Twist and Turn Bargello Quilts.

Beautiful SBG! I’m drooling at your batiks, just stunning! I’ve been debating adding it to my list for next year, you’ve inspired me!

You should definitely give it a try, Lisa. Construction is different and the whole process is pretty fun.

Beautiful! Looks very complicated for a first bargello.

Lookin' good! The book sounds familiar. I bought a book with bargello directions, maybe it's that one. After sewing BH's Trips I saw the possibilities for bargello and wanted a book with info about it.

Unfortunately, I usually have small pieces of fabric and mostly do scrappy blocks. Planning ahead to have enough fabric to do the bargello design for the whole top seems critical to it's success.
