To sash or not

Oooo - beautiful fabrics!! Love your blocks. While either look good, I think I prefer the sashing . Imho it makes each block pop with the separation of the sashing. My rule of thumb for sashing generally is when there is a secondary pattern I will not sash but when there isn't one I will.
That is going to be a gorgeous quilt!!

I like the narrow sashing. It allows my eyes to rest on the individual fabrics. It will increase the over all size a little bit, but that is back in your hands and how much backing you have on hand for this quilt. The soft colors are appealing.

I like the white sashing, second choice is no sashing.
Try this: Narrow it down to two. Set up half the blocks one way, the other half the other way, then walk out of the room and don't go back for a few hours. Walk back into the room and you will immediately know which is your favorite!

Pretty blocks, I like the white sashing myself.

If you can, take pictures of your layouts.
For some reason - which I don't know - it seems like one "sees" things differently when looking at a picture than looking at the real thing.
The no-sashing layout makes me think of the very old-fashioned crazy quilts.
The sashing separates the blocks and lets one see that there are individual blocks. Then the "game" is to try to identify the similar placements of the pieces.
Both look nice to me.

I normally like crazy quilt blocks without sashing but this quilt because of the soft colors and patterns screams for the white sashing. So the sashing would be my pick. Beautiful blocks for a beautiful quilt.
