    Default Help with plush? Fabric

Hi. I’m trying to find this grey fabric or something like that. I’ve messaged the maker who kindly told me it was a remnant from Joann. The problem is I don’t know how to describe it.

(the elephant is from huggable designs on Etsy)

I've never seen this fabric at JoAnns before...but then I usually don't go into the fleece, minky section. Wish I could help you out as it sure does make a very adorable elephant. Oh...have you checked the JoAnns website?

On second thought...is it possible the maker used fleece and quilted it herself to give the wrinkly elephant look and then cut it out??

It looks like Minky fabric to me, I believe Cuddle is the Brand name. There are many YouTube videos on how to use Minky. Shannon Fabrics has a YouTube channel with many videos featuring their Cuddle Minky. Good luck with your project

There is a liquid that makes fabric textured - I wonder if that was used on the gray.

To my eye the grey looks like velvet.

Looks like Cuddle or Minkee. Often times you can find those fabrics with interesting textures in blankets, available at Costco, Ross, Home Goods, etc. They're usually about 50" x 60" and range from $8 to $16, which is pretty reasonable compared to yardage!

It’s minky. If your Joanne’s don’t have it fabricdotcom carries a good selection of the smooth and the dimpled Minky fabrics.
