Default Virtual Quilting Weekend—Nov 25-28, 2021

Good morning and welcome to our special virtual quilting weekend. Please join in as you can and share what you’re doing. I have a couple baskets and a shower curtain to make which are this months ufo. If those get done, I have plenty of other projects to work on as well 😀. Happy Thanksgiving 🦃

Thanks for hosting this special edition of VQW Heather, I am looking forward to seeing what everyone is working on. I am still working on my Allietare blocks. I twisted my ankle really really bad nearly a month ago and its really interfered with my sewing so this has been a slow process. I hope to finish the last 8 blocks so I can move on to the next ones, then I would like to transfer an embroidery design onto the fabric so I can get that started.

Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate!

Great timing. I have 2 tops to quilt for a friend that is having health issues. Hopefully my dinner guests won’t hang around too late today. A few hours for shopping early tomorrow and I will be back at the machine

Happy Thanksgiving! Dinner today with my children and their families and my parents. A visit to my favorite quilt shop tomorrow for their Holiday Open House, then I want to work on a block for my guild's Christmas block swap.

Happy Thanksgiving and thanks for hosting this special weekend. I am sewing casserole carriers for my 3 DD and I hope to have them finished this weekend. I am also trying to organize all of my scraps which I have neglected for too many years.

Thanks for hosting this special edition of VQW!

Today I'm taking it pretty easy, will just be hubby and I for the day and we will be cooking various forms of beef... one batch of bbq and a bit pot of stew. He's still sleeping in, part of his holiday is watching the Lions football game and will be up and moving for that.

Tomorrow starts the Bonnie Hunter Mystery and I will be diving in full force! I have my fabrics gathered, my sewing area neatened if not cleaned, and am ready to cut.

I'm working on a Singer 201-2 sewing machine this morning, trying to get it running. About noon I plan on beginning my cooking. It's just my husband and 20 yr old son for Thanksgiving today. My daughter, her husband and my 1 yr. old grandson are on vacation in Columbia of all places. In between cooking and the oven I'll be hand sewing the binding on my latest quilt top though. I have to do something quilt related today!

Good morning everyone! Thanks for hosting Raggiemom/

I'm working on a quilted mandala and trying to decide on how to finish the quilting on a doodle art quilt. I also have the September Debbie Brown quilt sandwiched and ready to quilt and I'm piecing the 16 patch blocks for the Debbie Brown October quilt. I also need to start making some Christmas presents- doing clothesline rope coasters this year for some folks.

Looking forward to seeing what everyone's working on.

Good morning, everyone - Happy Thanksgiving. Heather, thank you for hosting.

I'm not quite sure what I'll be working on, but I am in my sewing corner. My vertigo came back with a vengeance yesterday and has not let up yet, I'm moving extremely slow and deliberate so I don't get another wave of nausea inducing dizziness and fall, plus I had a wicked migraine last night. I'm hoping this will pass sometime this evening, it usually doesn't stick around much past 48 hours from the onset, but we will see. I do have a couple of projects, I need to do my quilted organizer and then there is a soft sculpture Rudolph from Lisa Pay that I'd like to do as well. The Fall Table Quilt is off the projects list for right now because of the vertigo, I can't be making big movements and the blocks are 12". I don't want to fall face first into my sewing machine or worse, fall into my screaming hot iron.

For now, I'm finishing my manicure I started last night when the vertigo hit, then I will be sitting quietly and diamond painting. Fiancé due to leave tomorrow for the village for the weekend, I really hope this vertigo is gone by then, otherwise, I'm going to be in bed and working on my hexagons.

Cheering everyone on, can't wait to see the pictures.

Good morning everyone and Happy Thanksgivings.

My sewing/quilting goals this next 4 days: (1) Finish my bauble & Beads top. I’m in the process of sewing the blocks together. Square and add 1-2 borders. (2) Finish my my BHMQ 2020 top. I’m 1/2 way done with sewing the 30 - 12.5” Blocks. Then I can sew the top together. I’m wanting it to be about 85-90” long by 120” wide. 3) Cut & sew side borders for 3 baby tops and get them ready to quilt. I plan to quilt them next week. (4) Cut out BHMQ 2021 (the mystery that starts tomorrow), step #1 and maybe start sewing the clue. Like IceBlossom I’m ready to start that project. And finally (5) quilt 3-5 tops for my friend. The quilting I can do between my sewing. I figure what doesn’t get completed will be my projects for the next week or too.
