Great wreath…looks like a fun project! I’m glad you were able to use your EQ8 to recreate the pattern. Was this a paper pieced project?

jmoore...yes...I made a pattern out of paper of each "blade" and then paper pieced it willy nilly with the green scraps.

Wow what a great idea for scraps, and so cute to boot.

Great job! I really like it, especially how your reds are perfectly balanced throughout the wreath and the bow makes a great finishing touch!

I would consider using a slightly different technique, I would paper-piece just the wreath sections and then applique it onto the background, like a Dresden plate. Those skinny strips in the center scare me! Or if I had a slim wedge ruler then I would create my fabric using a giant piece of paper and randomly sewing pieces on it, then use the ruler to make the wedges of the wreath.

That turned out really pretty. You did great on it even though it took you longer than you wanted. Ready just in time for Christmas.

my-ty...there are no skinny strips in the middle...that's quilting.

This was pieced similar to how a NY Beauty is done. Make the pieces that make up a 1/4 of the circle and then there is a 1/2 circle piece to add to the inside and the outside to turn that into a square and you sew all four squares together to form a complete circle.
