Janice I didn’t find any potential fabric for future booms, if they had had more of the purple batik I would have bought it in a heartbeat. Think there are at least 6 different potential boom fabrics at home plus 1 here.

I am trying to make some of the past boom blocks into throws for the different seasons. New couch will be 6” shorter then my current one, thinking that means no lattice between the blocks if I go with the 4 across and 5 down. Sounds good but the first blocks I laid out really needed a lattice, the blocks just blended into each other. Darn

Good morning. I've been piecing since early this morning and intend to finish my "Shattered" wall-hanging top today. When I finish it, then I'll work on sorting out the F8s. I've commandeered the spare room for the job so I don't have to worry about unintentional (intentional?) rearrangement by a certain feline or canine. Hope everyone is having a pleasant day. Stay warm!

One block down. Well, after I fix the little pleat I sewed in the center and finish the last seam. Sure glad I looked at the pic, I would have forgotten it. Now to find the notes on how to square it with freezer paper.
Back to the Purdue flimsy now.

Thank you, Janice. It’s an Inklingo called Mariner’s Whirl (Jinny Beyer).

I’m hoping for a romantic, feminine quilt.

GramE, what a gorgeous block! I'd say that one definitely qualifies for what you're striving for. Good job!

Thank you Libster. I added the square but boy not much left of my circle. I thought there’d be 1/4” on the sides but scant hardly describes it. It’s mine so I’m not doing it over but if I do one to trade, I’m gonna measure my square differently. I might change my mind and try a different color, like the yellow maybe.

That’s beautiful GramE. I have the inklingo materials you sent me and plan to try it out on a van trip DH and I are taking in March.

i hope you enjoy it, even half as much as I do! I never expected to be hand sewing in my 70’s. And just learning to about 6 years ago! You are so much more experienced than I am, it should be a much less steep learning curve for you!
