Default Fast & Easy Sewing Machine mat with pockets

I have been wanting to make one of the mats with the pockets for my Bernina, and well, you know how it goes. My Bernina sits on a quilted placemat and I realized that I didn't need the whole mat for the machine. So, I found some fabric that coordinated with the mat and just sewed a pocket onto the bottom of it. I decided what notions I needed to put in the pockets and then sewed the pockets to the size I wanted.

What a great idea! And it doesn't look hard to do at all. I need all the help I can get being organized. Thanks for sharing.

Pretty mat. I was given one as a welcome gift at a retreat. It was 2 fat quarters sewn together with one edge turned up for the pockets. Not nearly as lovely as yours. I like your fabrics and that lovely scalloped edge
