Default ..... never ending crumbs....

Left over fabrics without end.... I started to sew some 8x8 inch blocks grabbing "blind" into the scrap boxes and sew the crumbs together!
And so I got a quilt top with 6x8 blocks!

I like to sew these crumb blocks: no exact cutting, no exact sewing, colors will all fit together! I had so much fun while sewing the crumb blocks! But no questions please whether my boxes are empty now.... I think I can make another one....

What a fun project and very colorful. Like many of you…I too have a bin of crumbs. I have not done crumb quilting but the idea is similar to a book I have called 15 Minutes of Play by Victoria Finley Wolfe.

I like it a lot. It is scrappy but somehow looks controlled as well. Must be the black lining each border.

Crumb quilts seem to be the trend these days. I hear about them and see them all over the place. Love your effort. Bright clear colors with the black are perfect. I have just started saving crumbs. We will see what emerges after a few months.

I have made several crumb quilts. All sizes. They are one of my favorites to make.

Great job and the black sashing really helps contain the scraps so you can see the colors.
