My birthday candies went into the mail today.

I am on schedule with my winter (baby gift) and spring projects (bridal shower gift). I posted my dinosaur quilt earlier for my nephew and his wife. I have also been working on a signature quilt for the end of April. I finished the top this weekend, which gives me plenty of time for quilting. I did a disappearing 9 patch with white fabric and light, medium, and dark blue prints. Very scrappy. I'm so happy with how it came out. At her shower I'll have the guests sign the white squares.

I made a signature quilt last year where I handed out squares to be signed and it took so long to put it together afterwards (there will several squares which got mailed and never returned). I didn't like how it dragged out, so this time I am trusting them to not mess up when they sign it!

That looks like a great signature quilt, Irish. Plenty of room for the sigs.

Flowers are starting to bloom here. The redbud trees out in the woods are blooming. And I don't know what this yellow weed is but isn't it cool? Azaleas are blooming in the front yard, too. Spring has sprung.

Jennr8r, omg so sorry to hear about your fur baby. I've had to do it to 2 of my boxers, and the memory of that day never goes away. Hugs for comfort.

Thank you Gannyrosie... Feather was the sixth rescue beagle that I have had to put down in the last 27 years. It never gets any easier. There is no one in the house that needs me to feed them, and the nails clicking on the wood floor are gone. I miss her so much, but I won't be getting another one. It's such a lonely place without her.

I'm so sorry for the heartache, Jenn! ((Hugs!))

Two more envelopes arrived in today's mail, from TravelingGramma and Irishmom. Thank you!

I've been using candies as leaders and enders for the Boom swap blocks and I have about 150 ish four-patches made up so far, all which will be made into 16-patch blocks. I hope to get a couple of children size quilts out of them.

Great idea with the leaders/enders NZ.

I am quilting another of Givio's quilts that was made from the candies she got in this swap. She wanted me to show it to you all, and I will when it's fully quilted. It's a beauty.

Anxious to see what Givo created with her birthday swap squares. Thanks for finishing and sharing with up. I recall her name on my list from years back. My records are spotty but I found her on my 2018/2019 list. That was the year we had 38 swappers!
