My very favorite block in the world and you did a wonderful job. I've been searching for a pattern that's done without paper piecing - there was a time when there was no such thing as pp and this pattern was popular anyway. With a lot of hard work I made ONE block, and it turned out okay and made me happy just to have gotten that accomplished. I can't begin to imagine how proud and excited you must have been when you looked at your beauty of a Beauty and thought "I did that". Congratulations.

The quilting was the first piece done on my new-to-me frame, so leaves a lot to be desired, lol. Just simple stitch in (or near, lol) the ditch. I reduced the original pattern down to 55% size, and it finished at 50 x 56 inches. I enjoyed making it so much that I've started a second one.....
