Default Spring Tulip door hanging

My mom is in assisted living, and I make door hangings for her door. They are great conversation starters.

When she was at home, she had a row of purple tulips in her back yard. My SIL dug some up for me and I have them in my flower bed now. I have been covering them and protecting them from the April frosts and cold temps. They are about 6 inches high already with lots of buds. In the mean time, I hope this will brighten Mom's day. I think she will like it.

Lovely! And I so enjoy your posts as my Mom was in care for 7 years and anything that can brighten the day or start a conversation is wonderful!

So pretty and springlike, Mary! I bet the other residents are also enjoying the rotating quilt show you provide on your mother’s door!

Mary I think you are enjoying these as much as your mom. And what's not to enjoy, they are all so unique and pretty. I enjoyed making clothes for my granddaughter weighing in at a little over one pound at birth. It wasn't until she was two pounds, that I starting bringing the clothes to the hospital NICU. The nurses were like the residents in your mom's home, always anxious to see what was made next. She came home at two months old weighing a whopping 3 lbs 14 ozs!

Very pretty. I'm sure all the other residents will wish they had one too.
