Thank you for the nice comments on my finished quilt project. On Tuesday when I arrived in Calif., I went with my son to pick up my 4 yr old DGD from preschool. We stood outside the playground waiting for each child to get checked out and once she saw me, she ran into my arms “oh Nana I have missed you.” It has been a year since my last visit and it is amazing how fast they grow and how much they change. FaceTime just isn’t the same…😞

Love that airplane quilt. You did an amazing job...and without a pattern to follow!

I used the appliquick tools, freezer paper and starch to turn all of the edges. I used a Shetland flannel for the backing.

Kayden just turned two…I am flying to California today to deliver his long awaited quilt. I am so glad to have it done so I can move onto something else. 😜 I just need to hand sew the binding to the back when I arrive and place a label. I have an extra cloud that I’m using for the label on the back. Thank you for looking.
Adorable airplane quilt! Lovely work you did. Enjoy your visit.

If you are visiting in the Bay Area, Filoli gardens are in full bloom with tulips, wisteria, other bulbs and other blooming trees and plants. Enjoyable for all ages.

Adorable! Sure doesn't look like you had to "wing it". Great job.
