Default Making the Most of All that Floral Fabric

Almost a year ago I went to quilter's garage sale. Among other things, I purchased two stacks of large scale floral fabrics for $10 each. The pieces ranged from maybe half a yard up to more than a yard, and there must have been at least 20 yards included, all quality fabrics. For some reason I was on a mission to get rid of those florals.

The first quilt I made was just squares set on point with black sashing and floral cornerstones. It's a big queen. Then I made another big queen with floral rails, but I didn't like that one as much. Then I made another smaller one with floral rails but included green sashing. That one was poodle-approved and is being used as a topper on one of his beds. I used more of the florals on the back of that quilt. And I still have at least a couple yards of the florals left!

There's another quilter's garage sale this Thursday/Friday. I hope to find something interesting. (But no more florals, please.)

I like the first one the best. I am not into floral fabrics, but you did a beautiful job on that one. Doggie doesn't seem to care.

Good use of florals. I love that second one. So easy but so effective! Thanks for the inspiration.

Well done! The first one is my favourite and looks like a spring garden but they are all nice.

Wow you have been busy! I, too, love the first one the best, but you did a great job using up the florals in a pleasing manner. Give your dog a hug from me.
