Default Come on a My House By Miss Rosie

I made this quilt as a house warming gift. I wanted to make it more monochrome and use blue fabric as this is the recipient’s favorite color. I used a fat quarter bundle plus some yardage for borders of Janet Clare’s Astra line. I really love the blues that Janet Clare uses. They are nice rich denim blues which I like the most.

I was quite nervous about making such a drastic color change compared to the original pattern which is very scrappy and beautiful. In the end, I was very happy with how it turned out.

Thanks for looking 😀

What an original take on a great pattern design! Thanks for the close-ups.

I used most of a fat quarter bundle plus some yardage for the border all from a single line. The pattern called for 11 light fat quarters and 18 dark fat quarters. I found the Astra line and zoomed in on pictures counting the darks and lights to make sure it would work, and it did. There was not much to spare on the FQs though. I was digging in the scraps when I found out I made a mistake.

I love this quilt! You have done an excellent job and I can’t believe you made a mistake that had to be corrected. It’s so nice. I know the new homeowners appreciated this. I’d have it out for everyone to see.-Toogie
