I spy quilt question
Buying a multitude of different cut fabrics for a I Spy Quilt can be very expensive, and you still end up with a ton of left over fabric to do something with. Does anyone know of a manufacturer that makes charm squares or maybe jelly rolls specificially for I Spy Quilts? I'm wanting defferent colors, with animals, cartoon characters, shapes etc. Not asking for handouts, but a manufactures name.

I bought the shortest yardage possible for my block width. Not every fabric store will cut that small though.
Make trades with your friends, quilty and other. Lots of people have fabric and you don't need much.
Check out the remnant bins, too.
If anyone finds a specialty manufacturer I will be interested as well. It took years to collect the fabric for my first I-Spy and now have more on the planning table which will need more additions.

Thrift stores can be decent sources for small pieces of novelty fabrics. A lot will depend on your local store (some don't bother with small stuff). I agree that asking friends might be the best option - perhaps you could arrange a trade and both end up as winners with more fabrics to choose from! :-)

The ebay site has some. They are geared towards either a girl or boy. I have not bought from them, but, I have seen them there.

I just made an I spy quilt. Just have to bind it. I’m keeping a pack of fabrics for I spy. I do the boom swaps and many time I do have a little bit of fabric leftover that I can use for I spy quilts. And a few years ago we had an I spy swap, I sent in 20 or 40 squares ( several different fabrics) and got back 40 different squares. The swap was on the quilting board.

I have never purchased from this company, but after a google search of "Precuts for I Spy quilts". this was one of the many sources that came up: https://www.stitchesquilting.com/sho...ng-charm-pack/ You can request multiple sets of squares that have no repeats, which is nice.

Did you check out the Missouri Star Quilt Company? They use a lot of pre-cuts. I check out Walmart for small cuts of novelty fabric and so does Joann's. I always check out the kid's fabric because it is expensive to do it all at one time. But if you might want to see if people want to trade with you. Do you belong to a Guild?
