    If you're using a domestic machine, I'd say possibly diagonal lines but skipping the applique. If using a quilt machine, possibly pearls or bubbles to fill in around the appliques. Those are my 2 "Go To" patterns I use. And of course crosshatch is always a favorite to me too.

    I would do a crosshatch in the white. I do the crosshatch quilting around applique often. This is just MHO.

    As quiltwoman suggested French knots, I think that would be perfect. I am very visual and it would be very pretty and durable. Maybe try it on one block.
    Your quilt is just darling and so well planned out. All the bright colors are going to stimulate the baby. You have done a wonderful job!!!

    Thanks for all the good suggestions. Here's what I did using hand quilting. Good thing I don't need this finished until September!

    I also think the echo quilting around each animal would look good.
