Surprise baby quilt

First photo is of the top with the "doors" open to reveal the novelty print inside. Name of the pattern is Surprise. If you can blow up the outer border it is tiny cat faces. I apologize for the duplicate post. I posted this in the virtual quilting thread also.

How sweet! I've never seen this pattern. It reminds me of playing Peek-a-Boo with a baby. This is just darling.

I would love to know how to make those "doors"...such fun for a child to discover what is inside...Any information would help.
