Great timing! I have 3 lap quilts sandwiched and ready to quilt and bind. I also need to do the binding on an iron caddy tote - I think I will be making more of these for our guild show next year. Easy and handy!

Yeah!
1. Get design wall installed so #3can be done
2. BOOM blocks
3. Design artistic arrangement of cut pieces for quilt on design wall

I am hoping to finish the first half of blocks for my older son's quilt and keep hand quilting my younger son's quilt.

3 goals for this weekend - a tad ambitious for me, but I think it's doable
1) choose pattern for the longarm lady, repair 1 place where the seam popped, finish backing piecing and generally get project #1 ready to send out2) make fast, simple baby quilt for my niece (at least the top) because
3) finish strip piecing for the top of the other baby quilt for the same niece because I did a miscalculation somewhere along the way and it's actually a twin...and a big twin (96x70). Oops....kid won't be able to use for 2+ years.

I have not been able to sew all summer but with this weekend’s chilly forecast, I may just stay indoors and forego leaf raking today. I had precut all the pieces for a queen size Layer Cake Lollies quilt this spring so hopefully it will be quick to assemble.

Hi Ya’ll,
I think I’m going to pull out my Vintage Rose. All I have left are 2 sets of border arcs. Think I will put on a movie and go for it.

I am working on a farm quilt from Lori Holt's book for a 3-year-old whose mother works with a friend of mine. The little guy loves tractors and farm animals. He was recently diagnosed with a metabolic disorder that will eventually cause severe neurological damage. I think he needs a cuddly quilt.

Yay! I missed the posting yesterday, but I'm in. I'm working on quilting two quilts. One is called Big Fish and the other is the State Fair Midway quilt that I was working on last month. Here's a pic of State Fair Midway in progress:

Happy Quilting Everyone!

Good morning (barely!) all!

thimblebug6000--Happy anniversary!

railroadersbrat--sounds like an ambitious plan for the weekend but you're off to a great start

donac and panchita--I'm impressed by the hand quilting. I understand the mechanics of it but haven't really tried it yet. One of these days though...

WMUTeach--I just made reservations in Shipshewana for April for a friend and I to go see Celtic Woman

QuiltingVagabond--hope to see you at retreat next month

tallchick--sorry you're working this weekend

I prepped a couple projects yesterday. Today is sorting and organizing I think. Tomorrow after church, I have a class--Open Wide 2.0 by Annie. Looking forward to that. Will check back in later.
