Default How old might these blocks be?

I picked up these quilt blocks at an estate sale a couple months ago for $3! Somebody put a lot of work into them so I wanted to finish the quilt for them! (I added the sashing, binding and backing.) By the pattern of the blocks and the colors how old would you estimate these are? I am considering donating this quilt to a charity auction and would like to add a description to my entry.

It looks like a 1980 To 1990 block sampler. When starting out quilting, many did several different blocks using various techniques to learn.

The color theme looks like the 80's.

The first one is from the 50's (at least). My Momma made several of these. One for each of her sisters and my Grandma. It's called "Gramother's Flower Garden with Love" at least back then. Been a while since I've seen this particular block. Brought back many memories of snuggling up with Momma and Daddy under one of her quilts.

Yup, I'm with the '80s group. That hexi block has the blue-grey small dot that's just like the fabric I used in my oldest daughter's first "big" girl bed quilt. And I also had the neutral print (appligue hearts fabric) too! My daughter's big girl quilt was made in the mid '80s and the fabric was new at that time. .......... this is bringing back some nice memories.

I’d have to say mid 1980’s. Calicoes were everywhere. Dusty rose or mauve was everywhere.

Dusty rose and colonial blue. 1980's for sure.

Thanks for all the replies! I was thinking 80s too, because of the colors. When Iwent to the quilt shop to buy the smashing and backing there was no mauve to be found! Fortunately I got close enough with the blues.

    Yes, yes, yes!
I learned to quilt in 1986 and our sampler that we made had a few of the same blocks as are in this one,

    Sashing, not smashing
