Default My very simple crib quilt for donation

I feel like a piker when I see some of the beautiful quilts you all make on here, but here is my latest. I have been making crib quilts for donation. The food shelf where I volunteer has a lovely lady who does intake, and if she finds out a family has a new baby, she likes to give them a quilt. I have been using up some juvenile fabric that came my way, and doing hand quilting because, darn it, I like hand quilting!! The backing on this is a soft cotton but not flannel.

What a sweet, sweet quilt. That's so kind of you to donate the quilts to the food shelf for babies in need. It will be well received & loved.

PTquilts -- that is a beautiful quilt! I wish my corners met up so nicely! Made with love and will be loved by the family that gets it. You are a sweet soul to help make life easier for others with your talents. I hope you never want to stop creating these crib quilts.

Like your quilts. I also like to hand quilt. In this "gotta git it done now" world it can be very relaxing.

i love hand quilting. For me it is not. For me it is not "gotta git it done now", …it’s my cat that wants in my lap every time I sit down. He’s my only companion now and I let him own me. I could close him off in a room, but I can’t do that. So I quilt on a frame…it keeps me on my feet!

Very nice quilt. I donate quilt of different sizes for foster kids in my county. My fingers will nor allow me to do any hand sewing. Plus for me machine quilting allows me to make more quilts. We have over 700 kids of all ages in the system.
