    I also pin baste my quilts. I use sawhorses and a piece of plywood in the garage. I use large binder clips to hold the backing taut on the plywood, then place batting and backing, then pin. If the quilt is smaller, I use binder clips and painters tape to secure the backing. Have never had a wrinkle in the backing so far.
