This is a skill that I have struggled with forever. I just found these instructions that made it very easy for me.

There is a you tube video, sorry but I do not have the link, with a lovely man named Emerald Meadows who will show you how to do a diagonal binding. I use it most of the time.

I use the Emerald Meadows video to join my bindings. Works perfectly every time. I didn't look at Quilting Daily's tutorial that closely but it looks like the Emerald Meadows system is a bit simpler.

This is the easiest way I've found to end the binding. This method works for all binding widths and no measuring is required. The ends match perfectly. Unfortunately, I don't know who originally published this method.

Oh, I like that Emerald Meadows video. The two colors he uses makes it more clear what is going where. Thanks for sharing.
