Default There's a Dog On My Quilt Pattern

Searching for this old pattern named "There's A Dog On My Quilt" pattern by Billie copyright 2000. It's been on Pinterest and Etsy, but seems to be sold out everywhere or totally out of print. I'm sure there's a possibility to draft it off on graph paper, but don't really want to do that. Copyright law's and everything involved. It would be a fast and easy Project Linus project for me and any colors would work. Does anyone have this old pattern in their stash they's be willing to sell me? For some unknown reason I'm able to "copy" the picture, but unable to "paste" it here.

It was included in Billie Lauder's book 'Guess who's on my Quilt' Also out of print. It is a really cute pattern and shouldn't be that hard to graph. Oh dear, I feel another project coming on...

There is no law that says you can't draft it and create it yourself, I do it all the time.
Copyright law has more to do with someone else's work product, which is the actual printed pattern. You are not allowed to photocopy it and sell it as your own work product.

Etsy has become one of my go-to sites, dog quilt block brought up these.
    https://www.etsy.com/search?q=dog%20...0quilt%20block

When I use Etsy I use a bookmark from my computer, because the vendors lose a bit of commission when Esty's search engine placement brings people in.

Billie Lauder, now there is a flashback in time.

I saw this quilt on Pinterest (There's a Dog on my Quilt) and wished I had the pattern, discovering it was out of print. But I figured it out and made a quilt for my great-grandson. My question is - since I have figured out the pattern, and since it seems like a lot of people wished they had the pattern, how could I sell the pattern? Since the original is copyrighted, could I give design credit to Billie Lauder, or would I have to make significant changes to the design in order to call it my own and sell it?

Oh, I saw this book at my guild's free table not long ago. I almost brought it home as it was a thrill to see Billie Lauder's name again.

peacelovequiltz...you could very likely get sued for trying to make this your own pattern and selling it. I'll admitt that it took me almost a year to come across the original pattern, but it was worth the wait. It's still on my bbusket list to make a couple more for Project Linus.
