I shared the flimsy before but now this is……All done and feels so satisfying…all turned edge applique, FMQ on my domestic… on to my next project…lol

How fun and what a lovely folk art quilt. You did a super job with needle turn (which I still refuse to do) and the quilting is perfect.

Truly a fun quilt....love it. Must ask you how long it took you to make this as I didn't see it mentioned. I love applique, but so afraid of trying it myself even on something small.

Thank you! This took about 6 weeks to make the top and about a week to FMQ. Not sure why you are afraid to attempt applique. It is only fabric….and my first attempt looked like crap but I got better with each project. You should give it a try, Linda.

What a beauty! I love applique. That's such a fun quilt. I found a tutorial on the internet on how to do turned edge applique. I needed a large pattern so I'm starting with a single hawaiian design on an 18" x18" background (just one block for practice work). I only got as far as basting it on the background & working a few stitches & then I put it away. I think I'll pull it out & try to finish it.
