More work quilt
These are the 3 quilt tops I finished this month. I plan to start quilting them in the morning and get them finished and delivered by the end of the week.
I started and finished the DNP top today. I didn't realize how FAST that pattern come together by doing it by starting out as a nine patch. I have made a couple I spy quilts using the layout but did not make them as a nine patch first since all the blocks were different and couldn't run them first in a strip piecing method. I will be making another one using this piece and slice method. Loved it. I am actually thinking of making myself a miniature of this very quilt. I love the bright colors in it. it measures 77x77.
The Pink Floyd quilt represents the recipients 5 favorite albums. Still trying to figure how to quilt it. I don't want white lines in the black and black in the bricks so it will probably be the last one quilted. This one measure 80x80
The last one was a last minute add to the list so it was designed to be simple to go fast. The recipients dad told me he likes Pokémon and some other things but this was the thing that stuck out to me the most so that's what I went with. It also, like the rest of the quilts I have to finish on my work quilts list measures 80x80. My oldest son (30) wants this one. He too is quite fond of Pokémon.
Off to bed and up early to start quilting . Thanks for looking.

You are such a generous co-worker with your time and talent and money. How can they not love them and you. I have always the loved the D9patch too. It looks so complicated yet goes together so fast and creates such a fun pattern.

You have a lot of co-workers! These are fantastic. I’m with you about the bright colors making you want one yourself. I have done the D9P only making a bib, but it is perfect with these colors. It’s a good thing you can quilt them yourself because just your fabric for these is costing enough. Lucky co-workers!
