I have always wanted to do it - even bought the adding machine tape. I love the look of the "Piano Keys" border. Maybe some day I will do it.

I watched her video and was so inspired I bought a box of adding machine tape. And then forgot all about it. Thanks for the reminder.

I sashed this blue Jean one with adding tape strips. Also made one vertical using my deceased brother in law’s shirts in the strips.

Toogie. That vertical one is just gorgeous! I love it and is that flannel on the back? The other one is lovely too?

Not flannel, thank you. They both are blanket throws I used for backing and no batting in between. The throws were from Walmart and so soft. I sewed 2 together for the backs. Wish I had more of the plaid.

This is lovely! Reminds me of the flashing scenes you see when two fast trains pass each other on the tracks.
The black strips provide seriously needed rest for the eyes.
I think I am going to try this too. Thanks for the inspiration!👌🌷💕

I've used water soluble light weight interfacing instead of adding machine paper or phone books cut into strips. I don't have to pull any paper off and once the quilt is washed you can't even tell it was ever there.
