I also finished a purple star quilt in January. It had been hanging around for a long time, just waiting for binding. I won the blocks in a lottery at guild. It sure feels good to finish, and this will be going to a local charity soon.

Mkotch, what a lovely quilt. I an impressed with your use of low volume for the sashing. It allows the stars to shine beautiful.

Very nice, love the quilting on it also. Did you do it, or send it out? I have a friend who just loves purple.

It was long arm quilted by a friend in my guild. She does a lovely job.

you go girl. This is suppose to be fun, not drudgery.

This is Laura Heine's "Birch Street." Still needs quilting but hope to get to that on my trusty Elna ASAP.
Adorable and fun.

My UFO drawer is full. Guess it’s time for finish work.

I've had some time in the sewing room this week. One of the UFO's I picked to work on is from 2016, the 365 block challenge. I had all of January done in 2016 and started to slack off in February when the blocks got more complicated. In the last 8 years my piecing skills have gotten a little better and the 3 inch finished blocks that have 30 or more pieces no longer make me run. I have also been working on sewing up the crumbs, and I am up to 15 finished 4.5 square blocks, I don't know what I will do with them yet, but will think of something. I figure I will work on at least 2 of 365 blocks a week and get back to my GFG quilt for the DH.
Here are the two latest 365 blocks, now to find the box with the GFG in it.
