Love all the pictures!
TG, I really love how you used candies to make the sashings for your elephants quilt. Sooo cute! I'll have to try that!
Here are my neutrals and low volume 9 patch blocks I've been working on. They will be a quilt when I have enough.

I forgot I also have this top in the works. After sewing the columns together, I decided they were crowding each other... so I have picked them all apart. I'm going to insert 1" or 1.5" (will experiment) of white between the columns before I sew them back together. May need another column of color, or two, to finish.

TG, love the elephant quilt. The color balance is just right and little squares show off those silly pachyderms. You have been so busy! And Sewbizbirl when do you sleep?
Janice McC, I like your color choices and progress. I did indeed start the Checkerboard Chain before I finished my two baby quilts but, I had to have something to show today!! So while on my quilting Zoom with friends this afternoon I cut, sorted and stitched a few. Yup, easy to assemble. I am thinking this will be a long term project so I put lots of my squares and finished in a project box to keep my mess under control. Slow and steady until it is big enough for me to call finished. I have decided to use just blue, purple and turquoise. All the white/pink and white/green pairs I made will have to wait for another project. Oh, well!
Yeah birthday packages arriving!

Here is my first 2.5" quilt top for 2024. Almost 1,300 little darl'ins out of my stash. Only had to cut a few extra yellow and turquoise so I would have enough variety. Not the most creative or clever use of candies but they are now ready to be layered and quilted next month.

Here is a 2.5 inch square project I just finished piecing the top for. Original pattern, meaning I made it up as I went along. I had another design in mind for this project, but it didn't work out well, so this is what I created.

Heather, keep designing! Well done! Lots of 2.5's in that one for sure! Did you count how many you used in just one top? It always surprises me when count. Mostly, it is a matter of "Goodness, I didn't know I had that candies in my collection!" Well done!
