The envelopes I’ve received are already calling my name to be opened! I want to hold out until my birthday but we’ll see. Have good day, everyone!

I like to open one a day. That way I have time to appreciate each one. When I have waited until my birthday in the past, they almost feel like a job.

If your "card" is fatter than 1/4", it won't go through the auto sorter at the postal system. It will have to be hand cancelled and they charge more for that, regardless of weight.

I make up all my packages at the beginning of the year, and by the time the birthdays roll around, those cards are flatter, with the fabric squares having settled in and compressed somewhat. If I insert the fabric in 6 piles of 8, plus 2 more on top, my cards are always less than 1/4" thick. I use the 2 ounce letter stamps on them without problems.

This popped up in my fb feed. There was a link but it didn’t go to this pattern so I don’t know the original source. Just another interesting idea.

I know there is a way to search those mysterious photos, Janice McC, but I don't know how. None the less,, that is an intriguing but simple pattern. Squares and HSTs on point. Perhaps someone else knows the trick to search the source/link for us or we can be creative and try it ourselves. The blocks look larger than 2.5" but why not with our little candies. It would work.

Thanks for the photo. Looks like a fun way to use up our stash of 2.5's.

I like how many of you package your candies. I'm going to adopt that method going forward. Thanks.

I've been seeing that quilt pattern lately too...I like it! Just set your squares in diagonal lines, with a hst in the centers of the grid it creates. Easy peasy.
