Opps, I'm still having difficulty attaching my photo to this. It is a glitch with my computer though.

Body of quilt finished. Changed to twin size. Trying to use extra squares prepped for original instructions. Slow going now……lost interest. Trying to persevere.

I've had three bad days of no sewing. I'm hoping to get a grip today.

I'm putting on my two inner borders in one round with mitered corners. Yesterday at my sewing group I sewed them together -- but my portable machine started making a horrible racket. Machine is a sparrow so I'm calling it a chirp... The stitch was still good and I cleaned out the bobbin area but this seems to be more up top. Am going to try taking the cover off and oiling up there, but they sure don't make it easy. In the manual it says under "noisy machine" to lubricate the bobbin area and gives instructions for that but nothing else.

Always something!

Making the final pieced borders. Going to have LOTS of orphan blocks.

Still working on Indigo Way. Ran out of my red but was able to find more at an online store. I'm finishing clue 6 and 7, while making blocks.

So proud of y'all who are still working! I took a break and will do blocks later when I need some easy sewing.

I've been having insomnia, which leaves my brain too fried to do blocks. I've gone back to my fabric washing project (washing all the unwashed fabric in the house) until things improve (which I hope will be soon).

My insomnia has been worse than normal this past week... but that gives me lots of time to listen to audio books when the rest of the country is sleeping.

After a couple additional drops of oil, the Sparrow is much better -- but long seams still start being loud. I've got to get some stuff done today if I'm going to be done by tomorrow. Good thing is I'm the only one pushing this deadline so will push it to the end of the week if need be. Today I'm making my binding, still need to put on the borders. Mind is working well enough today that I am planning to put the pieced border to the inner borders (which will be mitered) and fit in the corners.

Time to pack the car for sewing group -- hope everyone has a lovely day today whatever they are doing.
