Are you using JEF files I haven't had any problems with Applique Have you loaded the 550e CD Janome files into your computer?

I have the Elna 830. But I found it for $ 500.00 less than the Janome550e. It's a fantastic machine. It has to be oiled at least once a month. I bought a number of designs for this machine from a website. It was easier than I imagined. My sister-in-law was so amazed that she went out and bought one too. Overall, it's a simple machine to use. I hope it helps.

Interesting that GregB and Andrew Crowley posted almost identical responses a year apart. Though only Andrew has a link in his signature.

In fact my sister in law was so impressed with what I have done so far, she went out an bought one too. Overall I have it an easy machine to operate. Hope this has helped you.

does the Elna Expressive 830 have a direct connect from PC to machine? It looks like it does on the website.
