Default Dresden Bloom quilt, king sized

Hi all, I kind of followed the directions for the Dresden Bloom quilt by Cozy Quilts, but I used neckties for the blades of the dresden blooms. The reason for this is because my cousin lost her husband just before Christmas 2022, and he had to wear a lot of ties in his work. She wanted a quilt made with those ties. His favorite one was the light yellow with the dots. She loves color, so when I saw the purple, I asked her about it, and she loved it. She hasn't seen it as of now, but I'm hoping she loves it as much as I do.

Beautiful! I have a bunch of ties that I need to do something with. Yours is a great idea as I love making Dresdens!

I meant to show the quilting design that I put on each tie to help hold it down. I quilted this huge quilt on my Prodigy 24" quilter. I'm saving to get robotics installed.

Great quilt! and purple looks beautiful in a quilt (just not the many commercials on t.v.). I"m sure it will be appreciated a lot.
