That's too much of a price increase and no one seems to notice how prices are getting out of control.
I think everyone is noticing prices! We have mentioned it here and it is all over the news. We saw Christine Lagarde, President of the European Central Bank, on TV the other night being interviewed and talked about the situation similar in Europe, related to the pandemic and several other things, not just limited to the US. And a lot of it is corporate greed and that is being addressed by one of the candidates.

I think "corporate greed" is what they WANT you to think the problem is, because that candidate claims they can fix it on day one. That just seems way too simplistic and easy to me. Why haven't they fixed it before now?

only one candidate says what will happen on day one. The other one says it will be addressed as a policy. It isn't simplistic because it is one area of concern. If you have the interest just google why prices are so high. They are high in Europe too. Neither candidate can fix it on day one and one isn't claiming to.

One is and one isn't. LOL But on a serious side the average family is struggling. One visit to the Dr and there goes the grocery budget.

I am so grateful for Medicare!

At one time I was very anti universal health care coverage. Not any more!

So many ailments would cost less to treat in the long run if people felt they couold go to a doctor when symptoms first appear.

But what do we need two of? If irks me that insurance companies will coordinate coverage if one has two policies.

I like a separate tube of toothpaste to go with each family member.

Funny story. I was divorced and had two young children. Of course the court said ex had to provide insurance He changed jobs so often it became a mess of paper work trying to get the medical bills paid. I got so frustrated I changed the insurance at my job to include the kids. Of course they wanted the name of the father to check if there would be two insurance and who was primary. I wasn't about to go through that again so I put father unknown. That's all it took to not have paperwork, delays, or insurance arguing who was primary after that. My insurance covered the kids just fine. I by passed all the red tape, never was questioned or asked anything.

My question stands unanswered: Why haven't they fixed it before now? Why wait until after the election? I think the answer is right there in the question.

Bottom line is lining the pockets. No other reason that can't be turned around if the Powers That Are took it as priority one. Just my opinion.

Who have we been talking about??? Your candidate, who claims they will fix corporate greed, which is supposedly the cause behind higher grocery prices. (I blame higher prices for *everything* on inflation, but that's another discussion for another day.)
