    Default My Dog Murphy

I recently finished this likeness of my Bernedoodle, Murphy. It is paper-pieced, using a pattern from Modern Quilt Patterns shop on Etsy. I picked colors to match Murphy, and tweaked the torso part of the pattern just a bit. I quilted it on my longarm -- I was really pleased with the textures I got for her coat.

This is an amazing piece! How does Murphy react to herself? Love the quilting, all the shading and those eyes! Wish I could do something like this. Wow!

Love the eyes, you caught the "life" in them. They look so real. And the fur! Your quilting sure made the "doodle" show. Beautiful work!

Wow, beautifully done! The quilting really enhances this, giving it dimension and appearing to make the fabric shift in the direction that Murphy's fur grows.
