A well deserved win b.zang! Thank you for the contest, Hav4boys.
Because the mail has been outrageously bonky and unreliable for deliveries, may I suggest a Dec 7 (Saturday) opening date? I would say Dec 1 otherwise but I don't trust the mail service to deliver on time. If it is going to be late anyway it won't matter if the opening date is earlier than Dec 7.

Well, Merry Christmas to me! It's been a winning streak for me as I just won the bobbin dare by pulling the last one inch of bobbin thread out as I removed my piece from under the needle. Let's just say I'm thrilled!
Thanks for organizing and looking after us so well, hav4boys, I'm putting together my package. I love being Santa!!!

I completed my forum sleuthing and ordered things online I knew I wouldn’t be able to find nearby easily. Now to start on a couple of items I plan to make!
This is my first secret Santa so I just wanted to confirm the rules/guidelines with a few questions if any of you with more practice can help:
- Is it 4 fat quarters (required standard gift) plus bonus gifts (optional/based on recipient preferences)?
- Is the suggested spending limit supposed to include the fat quarters? That seems challenging (either way)with prices being what they are now.
already having so much fun!

Quilting panda bear. Yes as the rules say 4 fat quarters and a gift are mandatory and marked below $20. or taxes may apply. The fun is trying to get an interesting package put together with the things she'd like.

QuiltingPandaBear -- take a look at the photos of past Secret Santa boxes for an idea of the wide range of options for the items you may want to send. The first time I participated I received my first mug rug made by my secret santa and I still use it today. I didn't know I would love them so much so I encourage you to you to include things that you think are fun or useful, too. If you have a gadget that you bought a long time ago but is still new and you don't want it, that can be something you send that doesn't cost you for the $20 spending limit for the new items. It is the unexpected small treasures in the box that tend to make me giggle when I look at the box pictures. Whatever you send, if you like it, your recipient usually does, too, especially if it is on the list.
Another way I get ideas for what to include is to search for past threads posted by my recipient. It is a great way to get insight into the projects that they like or events in their lives you can get ideas for a gift to give.

As my hubby is in hospital and I might forget to send my package, I sent it early this morning.
Hope my ss will forgive having to stare at the pkg for over a month before they can open. Had fun picking out my presents.
Want to thank everyone for the joy I get from reading this post and seeing all your fun comments.
Thanks to hav4boys for hosting this year. Hope everyone has lots of fun.
