    Default Need Border Suggestions

This top needs another border and I'm kind of at a loss what to add. I'm thinking straight rows around going from yellow, orange, pink, red, and purple. But, that might be too plain.

What you have so far is beautiful. Maybe flying geese. Or square in a square? Perhaps 9P on point with the 3 diagonal squares in color

WOW! You've got a beauty already.
I really like how you have all the colours/fabrics working together.

While you said you need another border,
what you have not told us is how wide that border needs to be?

To help give us a perspective of size, please share how wide something is already.
Such as the french braid? or even the solid pink?

I LOVE the 'icicles'! I know it would be a lot of work, but could you do another row of them facing the other way (pointy part to the outside)? Your top is gorgeous!!

Sometimes, the simplest border is the best. If this is going to be bed size, then maybe the extra length could be the black background fabric and then do the quilting in a bright, clearly seen thread or multicolored, in a curved pattern resembling a swag similar to this. It could easily be adjusted to suit your quilt size.

I love it how it is, any more colour in the border/s would detract from the lovely work in the centre. As Barb suggests, just a bit more black, with or without coloured thread quilting. It must have been hard to work with the black, excellent job.

Your quilt is beautiful ! It is busy enough foe me, so I would just do strips of color alternating with strips of black

I love your quilt it is beautiful. In answer to question of borders I would add a black border only as I think anything else would detract from the beautiful design of your quilt. I like to use the KISS method and frame your quilt. If you are planning on using on a bed since quilt is square you would need to add length and again a plain black border would not carry your eye away from the intricacy of your design.

Guess my opinion would be to keep it very simple and not highly colored so the focus would be on the beauty in the center. If it was my quilt I would do a wide black border with fancy quilting that replicates some of the shapes in the center to bring the quilt to a conclusion but not to pull the eyes away from the beauty of the center. Variegated thread maybe in the border? I would have to think on that a bit more.
