    Default Hello from Indiana

I am Ellen, an avid crafter with lots of projects at various stages of completion! In addition to quilting, I love sewing, simple crochet projects, and my most recent hobby is acrylic painting. Just a few more years until retirement, so I am currently working on getting my crafting area organized and ready for more frequent use! I look forward to being inspired and learning new things from everyone!

Welcome to the boards! Now that you've found us, jump right on in with your thoughts and questions.

We moved here to Illinois about a year ago and I haven't spent much time yet in Indiana, mostly when we go through on our way to visit the Mother in Law in Grand Rapids, Michigan. My sewing room is still not organized but I wish you great success on yours

Hi Ellen, and welcome to this amazing quilting board! Everyone here is so friendly and helpful, and you will find all kinds of wonderful pictures and suggestions. I am mostly silent, as I like to read and learn from everyone else. As for retirement, pretty soon after retiring, you'll wonder how you ever found the time to work...LOL!

Welcome from Delaware. I retire the end of this year and am both terrified and looking forward to more time for sewing. The terrified part comes from my husband knowing I have so much time will drag me away to other fun stuff. LOL

Welcome to QB. I'm not an organizer so I'll be no help there, but I'd love to see your projects!

Hello from your northern neighbor, Michigan, the mitten state. Welcome to a fun and oh, so very helpful group of quilters who also create in other mediums, just like you. Ask your questions, share your ideas and photos and enjoy a large group of creative friends.

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone! I am not really much of an organizer, either. Mostly I just move the parts and pieces of one project so I have more space to work on another one!
