ibex94, I love all dark chocolates. But at last, they all use milk to make the chocolate and I am allergic to milk. Tried the new lactose free products and get the same reaction as regular milk. Doc did tests and found my allergy was very severe. Back in the 50's nobody knew much about allergies, so I drove my mom nuts always being sick. Her remedy for everything was a milk shake. Never understood why I got sicker.
Sounds like ya all are getting packages together and out the door. Had a few minutes to check in, before running again. Love all the comments. See ya later.

Wow! I just got my Secret Santa package yesterday. Thank you Secret Santa. It is sitting in my living room.
This week I am putting the final touches on my package to be sent out after tomorrow.
Tomorrow is a big day in our house, along with being Veteran’s Day it is our wedding anniversary.
Secret Santa is one of my favorite Christmas rituals and I’m looking forward to sharing it with you.

[QUOTE=ibex94;8666691]You shippers are on the ball!
Here's a question for everyone. There were questions on the list regarding chocolate. There are so many kinds of chocolate! Who loves all kinds? Who prefers dark chocolate? Who prefers white chocolate? Who prefers only milk chocolate?
My tastes in chocolate have changed. When I was a kid, milk chocolate was what was available to me. I have had very good white chocolate when I was a young adult and my favorite bars where white chocolate with praline cream from Belgium. Then I learned about dark chocolate and that remains my favorite. My classic go to is Lindt bars. However, I do like other brands with caramel etc.
I will drink hot chocolate if it is homemade and made with real chocolate. I do not like the instant kind. I don’t drink it often but when I do it makes me think of the fun memories of fancy hot chocolate at restaurants.

This is my first year participating in Secret Santa Swap, but I love the giving part of the holiday season!
The package to my Secret Santa Pal is ready to post tomorrow! So excited to hear from her after she opens up everything!
I know it's early - we don't decorate for Christmas until the day after Thanksgiving. This year we may be traveling to Ohio for Christmas to visit my children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. After a wee bit of repairs to our SUV - we will decide whether or not to travel.

I had an exchange day at the post office. My santa gift went out and is expected to be delivered on the 19th. Then, I picked up my own gift from santa. What a fun day!
Canadian friends - have you mailed across the border recently? Regulations have changed for those declaration slips and are now an extreme pain. There are far too many undeclared items in the package I sent and I have everything crossed that it isn't opened as part of some customs check. Nothing nefarious, just little tidbit things that would have pushed the declared value beyond what it should have been - customs doesn't care if you made or bought something on sale.
Oh - and white chocolate doesn't fall into the chocolate category for me. I don't know how it got the name of chocolate. Ick.

Haha I’m with @b.zang white chocolate isn’t chocolate. It’s still candy though, and it will still get eaten, just after the real chocolate! I prefer dark chocolate but like both milk and dark.
I have been working away on my SS prep. I was way ahead then really lost my lead because I wanted to make something, and I’m just not experienced enough to be a good judge of how long something will take me. My project required a new skill (wasn’t too hard), and I made a few choices to make it go quicker, but I also did an oops or two along the way that cost me time to correct. Happy to say it’s nearly done and it’s turned out about how I planned so that’s great. I also have a whole extra week to ship than I thought so I don’t need to be sweating it.

I agree with b.zang, white chocolate is not chocolate. It is just candy and I definitely do not like it. I am a fan of dark choclate.
Just stopped by to read posts and let you all know; I got my SS box today in the mail. Almost opened it by accident as I was expecting a pkg from someone else. But read label and have shelved it for our opening day. I did pet it a little before shelving. Ha, Ha!
