I noted over a week ago that I would once again be working on pillowcases for children in need (Pillowcase Challenge for 2025). These included trains, hot wheel cars, jungle animals, Tarzan and Jane, superhero's, catterpillar machines, frogs, cats, owls, flowers and stars, rainbows, butterflies, and crash and smash cars....a total of 25 in all. Something for almost everyone. Now it's time for a change and I'm ready to get my billion 2 1/2" squares out of hiding and do something with them. Thank you for taking a look at what has occupied my time lately.

those are lovely Linda! I'm thinking about doing this when I get back home, our little Kalama group is working on quilts for hospice but they quilt differently than I do, and since we occassionally get donations (I don't have any yardage stash) I thought I'd make sets for all the names on the giving tree at the bank at christmas, and next year just steady for Helping Hand which is the local food bank and clothing bank.
You've inspired me, and helped me not feel like a grinch for not caring for the group project

Thanks for sharing the photo of your colorful pillowcases. Do you use the burrito style pattern to make your pillowcases?
You surely have your pattern perfected. Share any tips and tricks you have learned along the way. Our guild has made red, white and blue pillowcases for Veterans at a nursing home. It was a big hit.
